Gundlach Champion receives AGC Cornerstone Award for Construction Training Excellence
Gundlach Champion was presented the statewide 2010 AGC Cornerstone Award for Construction Training Excellence at the AGC of Michigan’s annual meeting in Bay City, Michigan held January 28, 2011. The award is based on a number of criteria including field craft journeyman to apprentice work hour ratio, management involvement in apprenticeship training trust funds and committees, in-house employee training and community involvement with regards to promoting construction careers and educational programs.
“What put us above other companies was our exceptionally high apprentice to journeymen ratio along with Gundlach Champion’s participation in craft training committees and trust funds. We emphasize the use of apprentices in our field labor force because they are the future of our labor force.” noted Jim Ebli, President of Gundlach Champion.
