The Upper Peninsula Construction Council honored trade apprentices on Saturday March 21, 2015 in Marquette, Michigan. 17 apprentices from across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula were nominated for the 2014 UPCC Apprentice of the Year Award.
The nominees were shortlisted based on the judges’ review of their applications and interviews held with the top candidates for the award. At the banquet, it was announced that Sarah Kossow of Local 1510 Carpenter/Millwright was selected as the 2014 Apprentice of the Year. Joshua Mott of IBEW Local 979 and Kirk Johnson of Local 324 Operating Engineers were also finalists for the award.
