Groundbreaking was held on Friday for the new Marquette Municipal Service Center. Gundlach Champion is utilizing as much Upper Peninsula talent as possible. 75% of the work will be performed by local contractors and employees. Gundlach Champion welcomed two new summer interns this year, Tom Wahlstrom of NMU’s Construction Management Program and Jake Pieti of MTU’s Civil Engineering Program. Tom and Jake will be learning what it takes to work on commercial and industrial projects this summer.
