The casting of the tilt-up panels take time. However, the installation of tilt-up walls is much faster than traditional construction. During the casting of the panels, crews can be doing other tasks on the site, improving efficiency. Tilt-up also decreases congestion on the worksite, thereby increasing worker safety. The lower construction time also helps reduce costs.
Traditional construction is higher in costs than tilt-up because it requires more crew members and equipment. While tilt-up construction uses a crane to place the panels, it is still more cost effective overall.

There are multiple textures and surface effects available in tilt-up walls offering a range of design options. This feature can reduce painting or other architectural techniques to lower costs without sacrificing aesthetics. Traditional cast-in walls need rebar, forms, and more concrete as opposed to tilt-up walls. There is less waste in tilt-up construction, reducing the impact on the environment. It is also possible to recycle tilt-up walls if the building is taken down, further reducing environmental consequences.
